Delhi News Live Updates: With the Delhi polls weeks away, AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal accuses BJP leaders of attempting to buy votes by distributing items like gold chains, money, jackets, and other freebies. He claimed that as AAP’s support grows, BJP lacks a clear narrative and CM candidate, resorting to vote-buying tactics. Kejriwal appealed to Delhi residents to accept these items but not allow them to influence their vote. “People of Delhi, tell them that people of Delhi are not for sale,” says Kejriwal.
Meanwhile, Delhi Chief Minister Atishi files her nomination papers on Tuesday for the forthcoming Assembly polls at the district magistrate office, Lajpat Nagar. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA, who is contesting to retain her Kalkaji Assembly seat against the BJP’s former South Delhi MP Ramesh Bidhuri and Congress’s ex-MLA Alka Lamba, was initially scheduled to file her nomination on Monday but was delayed during her roadshow. The last date to file nominations is January 17. AAP and Congress are expected to announce their candidate schedule for the nomination process on Tuesday.

FIR against AAP over social media posts using images of PM Modi, Amit Shah
The Delhi Police have filed an FIR against the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for sharing posts on X using the images of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
The FIR was filed at the North Avenue police station on Monday. The posts appeared on the AAP’s official handle on X in recent days.
According to the police, the case was filed after Brijesh Rai, office secretary of the Delhi unit of BJP, filed a complaint mentioning various tweets in which the images of PM Modi and Shah were used.
Further investigations are underway. Notably, Assembly elections are scheduled to be held in Delhi on February 5. The results will be declared on February 8
