The SSC MTS (Multi-Tasking Staff) exam has a simple syllabus. It is divided into three main parts:
1. Paper-1 (Computer-Based Test)
This paper has four sections, each with multiple-choice questions:
(i) General Intelligence and Reasoning
Topics: Mathematical reasoning, visualization, similarities and differences, spatial orientation, problem-solving, decision-making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetic reasoning, analytical functions, number and symbol series, coding-decoding, non-verbal series, etc.
(ii) Numerical Aptitude
Topics: Number systems, whole number calculations, decimals and fractions, relationships between numbers, basic arithmetic operations, percentages, ratio and proportion, averages, interest, profit and loss, discount, tables and graphs, time and distance, time and work, etc.
2. Paper-2 (Descriptive Paper)
(iii) General English
Topics: Understanding ability, vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms, writing ability, etc.
(iv) General Awareness
Topics: Questions related to India and its neighboring countries, sports, history, culture, geography, economic scene, Indian Constitution, scientific research, etc.
Description: You can write this paper in English, Hindi, or any other constitutional language.
3. Document Verification
Description: Successful candidates are called for document verification, where all their necessary certificates and identification documents are checked.
